Researchers from China, Germany and Thailand examined the antioxidant activity of Caesalpinia mimosoides extracts using Caenorhabditis elegans as model organism. The results of their study was published in the journal BMC Complementary and Alternative Medicine.
Based on these findings, the researchers concluded that, because of their antioxidant activities, C. mimosoides leaf extracts can be used as a dietary supplement and alternative medicine for the prevention of oxidative stress and aging.
